Cigarette cards

Framed cigarette cards--set of two. In the nineteenth century, tobacco companies included collectable cards with their products to boost sales, and soon other manufacturers followed suit. The cards offered here are from Player's Cigarettes, Cadet Sweets (which also marketed cigarettes), and GP Tea (George Payne and Company) Each frame in this set displays two collectable cards. On the reverse side, the backing is cut away to show the description that accompanied the illustration. The high bidder is responsible for shipping (approximately $30-$45, depending on your location) or you may pick up your item at the show.
