Clearview Nursery - Sarcococca "Fragrant Valley"

Sarcococca 'Fragrant Valley,' commonly known as Sweetbox, is a highly attractive ground-hugging, slow-growing shrub perfect for a shady low border or ground cover. Reaching 18 inches tall and spreading 3 feet, it produces small, intensely sweet-scented white flowers and elongated, pointed evergreen deep green leaves similar in appearance to English or cherry laurels in late winter/early spring, followed by dark blue/black fruit. The abundant clusters of dainty, tubular, white flowers appear in the leaf axils that have a wonderful hyacinth-like fragrance, so the plant is perfect near patios, porches, decks where the fragrance can be enjoyed. Though it will tolerate some morning sun, Sarcococca really prefers shady.
