Description
The winemaking philosophy at Culmina revolves around two principles: gentle handling of fruit and minimal intervention of wine. Employing a combination of traditional practices (hand picking and sorting, and basket pressing) and leading-edge technologies (cone-shaped, stainless steel tanks) to preserve the beautiful, natural character of their wines.
This isn't just an auction item. This is living history of Culmina's story,
Malbec (2022): A lively single varietal Malbec with ripe bramble fruit and black cherry aromas, and hints of warm spice. Balanced palate with dark fruits and anise, followed by a lively finish.
Unicus (2016): The 2016 Culmina Unicus is an aromatic, light-bodied Grüner Veltliner from BC’s Okanagan Valley, known for its high-altitude, minerally profile. It features notes of green apple, lime, white pepper, and stone fruit, with high acidity and a textured finish produced via concrete egg and stainless steel fermentation.
Dilemma Chardonnay (2022): On the nose, it offers complex aromas of crème brûlée, wild yeast, and toasted hazelnut. The palate is a seamless tapestry of textures, weaving together the succulence of ripe pear and baked yellow apples with the zesty exuberance of mandarin and pineapple. The finish is long, elegant, and impeccably balanced.
