Vive e trabalha em Lisboa

Estudou pintura e gravura no Ar.Co — Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual, Lisboa (1998-2003). Em 2005 recebeu, em Paris, o prémio “Fully Connected / Microaudiowaves. Best Videoclip 2005, QWARTZ Awards”, em 2003 representa Portugal na “Young Creatives Biennal” de Atenas e em 2002 recebeu uma bolsa da Caixa Geral de Depósitos.
Recorre à pintura, fotografia e escultura para criar diálogos e narrativas suspensas, inspirada em memórias e experiências, pessoais e colectivas, através das quais investiga as esferas de cruzamento entre realidade e ficção.

About the artist: 
Göttingen, DE, 1972 
Lives and works in Lisbon Daniela studied painting and engraving at Ar.Co — Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual, Lisbon (1998-2003). In 2005, she received the “Fully Connected / Microaudiowaves. Best Videoclip 2005, QWARTZ Awards” in Paris, in 2003 she represented Portugal at the “Young Creatives Biennal” in Athens and in 2002 she received a grant from Caixa Geral de Depósitos. Daniela uses painting, photography and sculpture to create suspended dialogues and narratives, inspired by personal and collective memories and experiences, through which she investigates the spheres of intersection between reality and fiction.
