A one-of-a-kind piece, this bowl is the handmade artistic vision of directors Ben and Margaret. Ben has been making pottery for nearly ten years, and he expertly threw this piece on the wheel. Margaret has a passion for cyanotypes, a primitive form of photography that involves using special paper to make sun prints, often with natural objects found on Canoe Island. In this piece, they combined their skills to create a stunning yet functional bowl reminiscent of cyanotypes created by campers. Though not an actual cyanotype, Margaret designed the glaze pattern with them in mind, and used local fern fronds to complete the look.
