Description
Mini-Flora Mini-Floras, introduced in 1999, are slightly taller than miniatures with larger blooms and foliage, making them ideal for both gardens and exhibitions. One standout Mini-Flora is Foolish Pleasure, hybridized by David Clemons and named after the 1975 Kentucky Derby winner. Introduced in 2003, it features a stunning pink blend with high-centered blooms (26–40 petals), dark matte green foliage, and excellent exhibition form. It’s winter-hardy, disease-resistant with proper care, and vigorous—requiring ample space. Most blooms appear singly on straight stems, showcasing white-to-pink blends with darker outer petals. Foolish Pleasure ranks among top show roses (#3 in 2015 stats) and is frequently seen on trophy tables. It thrives in gardens and excels in rose shows, such as the Kentucky State Fair and Louisville Rose Society’s annual event. For those seeking a rose that performs beautifully in both garden and exhibition settings, Foolish Pleasure is highly recommended.
