Description

Paw and nose print created by late New Guinea singing dog Foxy. New Guinea Singing Dogs are known for their unique vocalization, and they are the rarest canine species on the planet! These ancient canines were believed to be extinct in the wild until a few years ago when a small population was confirmed to be living on Papua New Guinea. 

Foxy and the other singers involved in her rescue never lived in the wild, originating instead from a flea market, where two pairs of singers were purchased and eventually bred so rampantly that their population grew to over 80 animals! Thankfully, they were all rescued by the collaborative efforts of numerous organizations who came together to save them. 

Foxy was always the most shy member of our singer family, preferring the company of her companion Bowie to that of humans.
