Pliny's magnum opus, the 37-volume Historia Naturalis, was not only an impressive collection of Roman knowledge about geography, medicine, zoology, and other facets of the natural world, but also one of the earliest books to be printed following the invention of the printing press. This original leaf, page number 504, comes from the original 1483 printing and measures 18.25" x 23.25" (framed).
