Framed Map of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Islands, 1762

Description

This historically fascinating map captures a time before the American Revolution, when the empires of Europe still held sway and control over the hemisphere. The map, which originally appeared in the 1762 Atlas Moderne, was engraved by Rizzi Zannoni (1736-1814) and printed in Paris by Lattre Graveuer. It has been conservation framed in UV-protective glass and measures 18.5" x 12.5" (unframed) or 25.25" x 19.75" (framed).
