Description
1775's Battle of Bunker Hill is best known for the British onslaught against American Revolutionary forces and the command "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!" This print, adopted from a painting by Alonzo Chappel (1828-1887) and printed by Johnson, Fry and Co. in New York in 1859, masterfully captures the chaos and confusion of this early battle of the American Revolutionary War. The print has been conservation framed in UV-protective glass and measures 7.5" x 9.5" (unframed) or 14.25" x 16.25" (framed). * Following the auction, winners will receive an invoice for their winning bid and shipping costs.
