"Ghost Ship," Bruce Thorn Original Lithograph, 2018

This is an original 2018 lithograph by Chicago artist Bruce Thorn, known for his unique style. It is 18" x 24", wrapped in plastic. On his website, Thorn says, "I paint improvisational abstractions derived from commonly shared experiences and natural phenomena. Each work offers endless interpretation, mystery and drama. The artworks prioritize curiosity and the generation of questions instead of presentations of answers and definitions. I work with traditional materials and techniques but remain untethered from any previous school of art. The methods of composition in my paintings are similar to those practiced by many musicians. I utilize a disciplined stream of consciousness and inventiveness that invites audiences to enjoy taking time for a deep dive into their own minds and imaginations." I am an experienced master of my craft with a long professional history, an obsessive perfectionist adrift in an ocean of art history and humanity.
