I love the work they do for the community and I love to support the organization in any way I can. BIO: Gideon Bok is a painter and sound artist who lives in Midcoast Maine. He was born on Vinalhaven and received his BA from Hampshire College and his MFA from Yale School of Art. His work has been shown nationally in numerous solo and group shows and is represented by Steven Harvey Fine Art in New York City, Page gallery in Maine and Alpha Gallery in Boston. Bok received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2004 and a purchase award from the American Academy of Arts and letters. He has taught at Hampshire College, Yale School of Art Norfolk program, and Boston University, among other colleges. His work has been reviewed in the New York Times, Hyperallergic, the Boston Globe and others.
