Description

These beautiful birds were made in the famous folk art style practiced by one of the largest tribes in central India – the Gond. Pieces made in the Gond art style use vibrant colors like orange, yellow, blue and red, and are created with articulately drawn lines and dots as the method to bring it to life. Natural colors obtained from various sources like flowers, stones, etc. are used for the creation of these beautiful paintings. Make your bid today to have this lovely flock brighten up your home! This item was donated to us by our own Co-Artistic Director, Dipankar Mukherjee– who has been bringing in incredible gifts (just like this!) to our Silent Auction since its inception, and this year is no exception. Bid today to bring this piece of cultural beauty home with you! About the Donor: Dipankar Mukherjee is a professional director originally from Calcutta, India with a 25-year history of directing. He is the Artistic Director of Pangea World Theater and received the 2023 McKnight Distinguished Artist Award.
