Original artwork by Rita Morgan of Rogers, MN Pastel pencil 5" x 5" Artist statement: Rita Morgan is an award-winning self-taught artist. I have been drawing since I could hold a crayon. I’ve had a lifelong fascination with owls, and as a Naturalist and Park Ranger, I have led many educational programs and owl-calling night hikes. I paint in acrylics, and draw with charcoal, micron pens, colored pencil and pastels. My style is realistic, and I know a piece is finished when it seems to come alive for me.
