Description
This detailed Chicago brownstone was handcrafted by David “Dick” Dahlstrom (1934-2025), the late uncle of Lower School teacher Jennifer Caffey. A lifelong Chicagoan, Dick studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and created illustrations for military training manuals before spending his career producing original artwork in many forms. In the later years of his life, he focused on creating dioramas of iconic Chicago buildings. This one-of-a-kind piece, measuring 35.5"x23.5", was generously donated by Mrs. Caffey and her family in his memory.
