Description
16.5" x 19" Multi-Block Linocut.
Hand-printed original two-block linocut in gold and black oil base relief ink on rag paper. The idealized coastal dock scene is inspired by views on Vinalhaven, Maine.
Along with illustrating award-winning children's books, toys and products, Holly also makes linoleum and wood block prints of varied subject matter. Her designs are inspired by her immediate environment; the patterns, shapes and textures found in the natural world combined with her interest in decorative and folk art.
Holly earned a BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design and was recognized with an Individual Artist Fellowship in Printmaking from the Maine Arts Commission.
