Materials: Ink, glitter, paint Bio: Ingrid is an artist, writer and arts educator living in Mid Coast Maine. This is her fourth year participating in ArtFeeds. Statement: The bowl I received for the AIO project was rich in visible knots, whorls and putty filled gaps. In other words, it was full of imperfections. Rather than sand and prime over these visible flaws, I saw an opportunity to embrace the uniqueness and individuality of the piece. Each gap became filled with glitter, every knot embellished with iridescent ink, and gold paint was used to illuminate the various pieces of wood joined to make a whole. In honoring the original nature of each piece, the bowl for me celebrates the unique and varied parts of the community who come together each year for this important event. www.ingridellison.com @paintinginthebarn
