Thomas Higgins is a plein air landscape painter who lives in Readfield, ME. His paintings depict Maine's natural environment. He holds an M.S. and M.F.A. in painting and drawing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Maine at Farmington. Major corporations including Prudential Life Insurance Co. have purchased his art. His work has been featured in several books on Maine art, exhibited in galleries across the United States, and displayed internationally through the U.S. Department of State Art-in-Embassies Program. He is actively represented by galleries such as Greenhut Galleries in Portland, Maine. In 2014 he was the Artist-in-Residence at Acadia National Park.
