This item is an antique ceramic tazza or pedestal cake stand featuring a maker's mark. It represents a Japanese Kutani porcelain comport or pedestal dish, likely dating from the Meiji era, circa 1890. Kutani ware, known for its vibrant overglaze enamel colors. Featured here are intricate hand-painted floral motifs and red and gold decorative patterns. Historically it was used as a serving dish, now often appreciated as a decorative collectible.
