Description

Katniss was a mid-content wolfdog who came to Wild Spirit in 2021 along with her companion, Sarkhan, who she was much like a surrogate mother to, having raised him as a pup. When she passed away from cancer in 2025, Sarkhan deeply mourned her loss. Katniss shared her love for Sarkhan with one of her neighbors named Naia, who she would groom through their shared fence line so enthusiastically that Naia's cheek ruffs were chronically shorter than they should have been due to Katniss licking the fur off! 

This enclosure sign used to hang on Katniss' habitat during her life here. It is in good condition despite a few scratches. The size measures approximately 19.2" X 13.2". Our hope is to use the funds made from these signs to purchase new "In Memory" versions.
