Description
16" x 20" x 1.5" Framed. Oil on canvas.
A night view looking out over Rockland Harbor with the harbor ice breaking up. In the op right corner, you can see the three lights on the Vinalhaven wind farm towers. This was painted plein air on a winter's evening while sitting in the front seat of her car looking from Marine Park toward Vinalhaven.
For the past 15 years, Kristine Baker has been an ocean advocacy artist. She creates art about the contents of the living breathing ocean, and how our lives are connected to ocean health. These paintings are some of Krisanne's earlier night series oil paintings from a Great Spruce Head Island art residency.
