Description

"Lady Slipper #1" is an original oil on canvas by local artist, Mark Poteat measuring 20" x 16". https://www.facebook.com/poteat68/ Mark Poteat is a local artist who has been practicing art for over 30 years. He has exhibited both regionally and nationally, winning numerous awards for his work. His body of work has evolved over the years from industrial subjects, musical instruments, landscapes, and most recently, the figure. His work has been influenced by many areas of Art History, especially the works of the Cubists, early Modernist painting, and 17th century Baroque painting. Along with maintaining his studio practice, Mark has been an instructor and Department Head of Visual and Performing Artists at Western Piedmont Community College since 2002. He holds a BFA in Painting from East Carolina University and an MFA in Painting and Drawing from East Tennessee State University.

Additional Information

All items will be available the night of the event and attendees will have a chance to view each item and continue to place bids until the closing of the auction at 8:00pm.  Winners will be notified through the Bidding Owl auction website, and checkout will be open starting at 8:30 pm.  

Items can be picked up upon the close of the auction at Moretz Mills on April 16th, or at Carolina Caring's Robinson Road Campus on or after Monday, April 20th.  Online payment through the auction website is preferred - cash, check, & credit cards will also be accepted.
