Learn to Curl! (And We Don't Mean Your Hair!)

This lot is for a beginning (2 hr) lesson for 2 people! With the exciting success of Team USA at the Curling events during the Winter Olympics, we're certain everyone wants to at least get a chance to throw the rock and sweep it down the ice! Why not Learn to Curl! Step onto the ice and try something new! In this fun, two-hour class, you’ll learn the basics of curling—how to throw rocks, sweep, and understand the flow of the game. Perfect for absolute beginners (and totally repeatable if you want a little extra practice). All equipment is provided, and classes are suitable for ages 13+ and all abilities. Founded in 2014, the Traverse City Curling Club has grown from a small group that met at Centre Ice after hockey practices into a vibrant non-profit with its own dedicated curling facility on Garfield Avenue. The club now boasts hundreds of members and proudly operates a “top ten” world-class facility, according to Olympic Gold Medalist Brad Jacobs. Just one year after opening our doors we hosted our first National Championship tournament in partnership with USA Curling.
