Live Auction: Picture-Framing Project in My Workshop

I will work with you to do custom framing for any 2-dimensional artwork. You bring the art and I`ll help you choose the wood and stain, cut the mat and glazing, add hanging hardware and other finishing touches. You will go home with a ready-to-hang picture. This will require several short sessions, waiting for glue to dry, etc. The picture frame shown (quarter-sawn white oak and redwood) is an example of what we might do for a print or watercolor. Other frame designs for paintings on stretched canvas or a desktop frame are also possible. A number of wood species, stains, and mat colors are possible. I`ve been using plexiglas for glazing, but real glass is also possible, though not as safe. We`ll start with rough lumber, a sheet of matting board, and a sheet of plexiglas and turn it all into a picture of refinement and good taste!
