Description

Hypertufa is a lightweight, durable, concrete alternative used for creating stone-like garden planters, pots, and art. Generally, the Hypertufa trough planters are constructed from a mix of Portland cement, peat moss, and perlite/vermiculite, it creates porous, rustic containers that are ideal for plants, especially succulents, alpines, and herbs —thyme, chives, sage, chervil, and mounding basil—and vegetables, as well. Round carrots, baby beets, radishes, tiny Mei Qing Choi, and alpine strawberries adapt beautifully to these pots. They can last over 10–20 years. This container from Loudoun Valley Herbs is approx. 12" X 9" in size and does not contain perlite. The beauty of a hypertufa is you can position in the garden as needed by the plants - under a tree - in a full sun garden - and it can be left out in the winter elements. The planters are naturally porous. Owned and operated by Kim Labash, Loudoun Valley Herbs grows and harvests approximately 6,000 lavender stems for crafting and approximately 1,000 Lavender flower heads for culinary purposes. Loudoun Valley Herbs is located in Round Hill, Virginia. This item will be direct shipped to winner. The snowdrop is not included.
