Description
This gorgeous set includes a salad bowl made from Canoe Island madrona and a pair of serving spoons—priceless mementos of an incredible place.
The bowl showcases beautiful natural color variations, having aged in log form on the island for several years. As is typical of madrona turned with some remaining moisture, the wood has settled into its own unique shape. The rim undulates slightly, and the bowl is almost an inch longer than it is wide, 8” x 9” and is 4” deep. This bowl will hold up to many years of use.
The spoons are also madrona, both exhibit lovely grain. These are very durable kitchen implements. They have a slight curve in the handle for reaching down into a serving bowl. The spoons are just under 13” long with the bowls being approximately 2 ½” wide by 3 ½” long
All are finished with walnut oil and completely food safe. To prolong their life, hand wash with a mild detergent. Re-oil as necessary if the wood starts looking dry.
