This exceptional trough garden, created by the Marano's, includes five (5) exquisite miniature plants that includes Gemstone Hinoki Cypress, Alpine Candytuft, Dwarf Snapdragon, Alpine Wallflower, and Dwarf Columbine. The trough itself measures 13.75"x10"x4.75". ‘Gemstone’ Hinoki Cypress is a dense, dramatic conifer prized for its layered fans of green foliage. Intricate shades of lighter and darker green blend seamlessly, giving it a vibrant, textured appearance. This slow-growing selection matures into an irregular, upright form, creating remarkable presence in even the smallest garden spaces. Alpine Dwarf 'Purity' Candytuft is a tidy compact variety of Iberis that blooms in late spring with a profusion of bright white flower clusters. It is a low-maintenance, compact evergreen perennial, standing 6–12 inches tall and spreading to 18 inches. Known for producing dense clusters of pure white or slightly lilac flowers in early-to-mid spring, this deer-resistant plant is ideal for rock gardens, container planting, and spilling over walls. It thrives in full sun and should remain well-drained. Dwarf Snapdragons are compact, distinctive 3-10 inches in size, making them ideal for borders, containers, and rock gardens. They prefer full sun, well-draining soil, and consistent moisture, blooming in various colors from spring to fall. Alpine Dwarf Wallflowers are compact, evergreen perennials, often growing only 4-8 inches high, making them ideal for rock gardens, troughs, and sunny, well-draining spots. They feature fragrant yellow, purple, or orange blooms from spring through summer. These low-maintenance, hardy plants thrive in full sun and gravelly soil. Dwarf Columbine are compact, 10–18 inch tall, hardy perennials perfect for rock gardens, containers, and borders.
