Marina Krasnopolsky's Printed Porcelain Bowl

This 10" round porcelain bowl was handbuilt by Marina Krasnopolsky. Born and raised in Riga, Latvia, Marina discovered her love for art at an early age. For decades she shaped, molded, and created with her hands. She experimented in ceramics, macramé, hand and machine knitting. More recently, Marina fell in love with porcelain clay. Using this material, she does both, hand building and wheel throwing inspired by her love for flowers. Their beauty, asymmetrial and colorful shapes are what inspire her and porcelain clay allows her to make fragile looking yet strong pieces from her inspiration.
