Description
Rising against the last warm light of an early spring evening, a male American Woodcock performs his courtship flight, the famous “skydance” that transforms this pudgy, bug-eyed shorebird into a graceful aerialist. The Ned Smith watercolor was originally commissioned for the April 1974 cover of Pennsylvania Game News magazine. A beautiful depiction of the elusive “timberdoodle,” this limited conservation edition print is #163 of 200. An official Certificate of Authenticity is included. Image size is 12 ¾” x 19 ¼”, paper size is 17” x 23”. http://www.nedsmithcenter.org
