NNR 2026 Community Made Paw Print Blanket

This one-of-a-kind blanket measures approximately 56 inches by 78 inches and is more than a cozy handmade creation. It is a patchwork of kindness, generosity, and love for Newfoundland dogs. Each square and rectangle was individually crocheted or knitted by supporters of National Newfoundland Rescue who wanted to help the rescue continue its lifesaving work. The crocheted squares feature pawprints, while the knitted rectangles showcase a bone design at their center, creating a charming tribute to the dogs that bring us all together. No two pieces are exactly alike. They vary in size, texture, color, and style, reflecting the unique personalities and talents of the people who made them. Every stitch represents someone who cares deeply about rescue dogs and wanted to contribute in their own special way. Much like the dogs that come through rescue, each piece is different. Some are bold, some are subtle, some are perfectly uniform, and some are wonderfully quirky. On their own, they are beautiful individual creations. Together, they form something even more meaningful: a warm, welcoming blanket that is greater than the sum of its parts. Just as rescue dogs of all shapes, colors, backgrounds, and personalities come together to make a family complete, these handmade pieces join together to create a blanket that brings comfort, character, and heart to a home.
