60 minute oboe lesson on Zoom with Helix Collective oboist Phil Popham. About Phil - After serving as a symphony oboist in 3 orchestras for over 10 seasons, Phil moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television music. Since his arrival in 2011, he has been part of over 30 magnificent soundtracks. He has recorded in all of the major scoring stages and even remote records from his own studio in Burbank. You can hear Phil’s solo playing in such films as Asterix and Obelix: Take Britannia, Soar, and The Wars of Other Men, among others. He can also be heard and seen on USA Network’s reality show The Moment, the music documentary What Would Beethoven Do?, and the live airing of The History of Music in 80 Seconds. Dr. Popham holds a doctorate in music from the University of Southern California.
