The Scottish Government USA, Heriot-Watt University and America 250 comminsiouned an official tartan to celebrate America's Semiquincentennial. Fve students from Heriot-Watt's school of Textiles and Design in the Scottish Borders presented their original tartans to a panel of expert judges, including Camilla G Hellman, ASF President, who selected the winning design by student Kaci McEwan. The design is recognised as the official Tartan of American250. Loval Mill in Scotland produced a limited run of American250 Scarves, with only 150 made.
