Description
Oil painting of a classic Montana hillside in spring, by the late Bozeman plein air artist Tom Eversman. You'll recognize this familiar flora and scene, especially the showy Arrowleaf Balsamroot! 12" x 16". Unframed, canvas on masonite board. Artist Tom Eversman (1934-2021) received his art degree at the University of Iowa and taught art in the Bozeman schools for 26 years. After days of teaching and after he retired, he loaded his art supplies in his truck and painted the landscapes of the Gallatin Valley and surrounding mountains in every season. His paintings are of the plein air method, which means painting on site, not from photographs. (Donated by Sharon Eversman)
