One Week (5 days) of Summer Farm Camp

Two Blocks Away Farm is a small, pasture-based farm just 20 minutes outside of Columbus in Pataskala, Ohio, owned by ROCS's very own Kali Sites. Kali and famliy are working to build their land to grow healthy, sustainable food for themselves and others willing to invest in their tomorrow. Farm camp is an exciting opportunity! Our days will be full of WORK that will help to cultivate an understanding of where your food comes from; and PLAY, we will run, jump, and climb on our 7 acres of woods, pastures, and gardens with limitless possibilities. We will plant and harvest veggies, learn animal husbandry, work on forest management, and learn from others in the farming community. Tye Dying your camp t-shirt is always a highlight as well as the huge slip and slide! Campers will come in contact with livestock animals - goats, cows, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese and bees. Campers must be between the ages of 6 - 11. Camp begins promptly at 9a and concludes at 3p daily. Requirements: Closed Toed Shoes Jeans or long pants Change of clothes Sunscreen Bug Spray Water Bottle 2 Snacks and Lunch - A refrigerator is available to keep food cool Rain coat and rain boots as needed We will utilize indoor space should there be inclement weather.
