Description
This stunning, hand-dyed and hand painted silk vest was designed by artist Pat Rued, a resident of Deerfield, IL. Pat is a self-taught artist whose work is a result of much trial and error on the path to developing a style of her own. She strives to create unique garments and accessories that will be worn and enjoyed for many years. There are many steps involved in the completion of this silk vest. First fabric dying and overdying is done by brushing on color or using various shibori techniques. Further surface design is added using various paints, dyes, and discharge agents. Once the fabric sections are completed, they are carefully cut and sewn giving you a vest that you will feel great in for many years to come!
