This is a rare chance to own an original sketchbook filled by San Francisco-based freelance illustrator and cartoonist Mark Simmons. This small hard-bound sketchbook (5.5 by 5.5 inches, Hand Book Journal Co), is FILLED with 128 pages of original pen-and-ink drawings by Mark. Mostly monochrome, with a few touches of spot color. One-of-a-kind, inspirational, entertaining, and fun! ABOUT THE ARTIST: Mark Simmons is a San Francisco-based freelance illustrator and cartoonist, specializing in comics and graphic storytelling. He has illustrated educational comics and animated operas about heroic animals, doomed sea adventures, and tragic mountaineering expeditions, as well as teaching figure drawing at the Academy of Art University and classes in cartooning, fast sketching, and wildlife illustration for SF Bay Area institutions such as the SF Bay Area Nature Journal Club, the San Francisco Zoo, and the Cartoon Art Museum. He's particularly fond of bugs, dinosaurs, cool rocks, spherical blobby animals, construction machines, and weird perspective drawing.
