This beautiful piece was created by one of our own SCPENS moms!
Lily Dircksen, born in 1991 in Stockton, CA, is a contemporary artist based out of Santa Cruz, CA.
She is known for her figurative oil paintings on linen, paper board and wooden panels and ink paintings on paper as well as drawings on paper in pastel, graphite or charcoal. She finds secondhand painting surfaces and frames and gives them another life.
Her work is centered around the contentment of daily life executed in a style that evokes feelings and memories of places and peoples and is especially inspired by love for her husband and daughter.
