Description
Carex laxiculmis is a small, native sedge with distinctive wide glaucous blue foliage. Despite the common name, spreading sedge, expansion of the clumps by short underground rhizomes is slow. This species is found in moist woodlands in eastern North America. It performs best in the full/partial shade.
