Description

Wear a piece of Michigan’s ancient history with this striking, handcrafted necklace. This one-of-a-kind piece features a genuine fossilized chain coral from over 350 million years ago—meticulously carved into the iconic "mitten" shape of the Lower Peninsula. The stone has been expertly shaped and polished to reveal the intricate patterns and unique shape of the Great Lakes state. The earthy, fossilized textures of the stone are perfectly offset by a sleek, black satin cord, giving it a modern, minimalist look. Designed for versatility, the cord features an adjustable slider that extends up to 12 inches in length, allowing it to be worn as a high-style choker or a standard pendant necklace. Whether you are a lifelong Michigander, a frequent visitor to our shores, or a collector of natural fossils, this necklace is a beautiful tribute to the Mitten State. No two fossils are ever identical, meaning the winner of this item will own a truly unique piece of wearable art that literally carries the spirit of the Great Lakes.
