Description

A striking solid gold sculptural pin by renowned American metalsmith Ronald Hayes Pearson, measuring approximately 3.5" long. This elegant, highly polished piece showcases Pearson’s distinctive modernist approach to form. Its sweeping, fluid silhouette is beautifully open to interpretation: it may suggest a graceful leaf, while some see the curve of a skate or ray gliding through water, or even the crest of a rolling ocean wave. That ambiguity is part of the pin’s appeal—the abstract organic form seems to change depending on how it is viewed. The front has a smooth, mirror-like gold surface with dramatic flowing contours, while the reverse reveals the sculptural construction and a long pin stem with clasp. Its substantial scale makes it equally compelling as wearable art or as an example of American studio jewelry. Artist: Ronald Hayes Pearson Material: Solid gold Length: Approx. 3.5 inches Design: Abstract modernist / organic form; leaf, skate/ray or wave interpretation Value: $2,495 A distinctive opportunity for collectors of Ronald Hayes Pearson jewelry, American studio jewelry, modernist gold jewelry, and sculptural wearable art.
