Description
Acclaimed as a unique examination of the experience of knowledge-gathering and museum culture located just outside Culver City, the Museum of Jurassic Technology’s intriguing exhibit pays tribute to the dogs of the Soviet Space Program. This particular piece is a tribute to one of those first beings who left the earth to explore space, Leika, the space dog. This exquisitely detailed porcelain night light, hand made using techniques from a lost art of the 1800’s called “Lithophanes,” commemorates Laika’s historic launch, and was designed and produced exclusively for the Museum of Jurassic Technology.
