Description
Grab your sweetie, bestie, or kiddo and learn the fundamentals of sewing or quilting together in a friendly, private lesson setting.
Week One (1 hour): Bring your machine(s), if you have them. We will troubleshoot, talk through what you would like to make, and make a supply list. No machine? Susie can help with options or loan one for the lessons.
Week Two (2 hours): Bring your pre-washed and ironed fabric and supplies. We will cut out the garment or small quilt and get everything ready to sew.
Weeks Three and Four (2 hours each): Sewing! Susie will guide you through the project with beginner-friendly help. If you do not finish, you may return during Susie's mostly regular community sewing sessions.
Dates / Scheduling: Winner will be connected with Susie after the auction to choose mutually workable lesson dates.
The Fine Print
• At least one member of your duo must be an adult.
• Lessons are designed for beginner or rusty sewists.
• Advanced pattern fitting, stretchy or slippery fabrics, and other advanced techniques are not included.
• Lessons are held in a private home in Raleigh; dogs and cats live in the house.
