Team Spirit by Cinnamon Dockman

Medium used: Acrylic and metallic paint, oil pen, diamond dust (crushed glass) Description of Artwork: Blue metallic snowflakes shimmer against a dark blue night sky while sparkling swirls give the impression of frosty cold snow. A team of spirit sled dogs run through the heart and soul of the main dog, representing the ingrained passion that drives sled dogs to perform their work, generation after generation. Artist Bio: Cinnamon Dockham is an Alaskan wildlife artist who currently resides in Eagle River. In the past she has volunteered on Iditarod Ceremonial Opens at Campbell Creek Science Center and was a summer volunteer sled dog walker at Denali National Park for several years. In 2014 she adopted a retired sled dog from the Denali kennel and gave “Arc” her best retirement life. Cinnamon is grateful for the opportunity to support the time-honored mushing tradition in Alaska, through her artistic endeavors.
