The Boletes: Original artwork by Jean Mackay can be yours! 9x12, watercolor and ink. ABOUT THE ARTIST: Jean Mackay is an educator, artist, writer, and naturalist—but not always in that order. She grew up in Troy, New York, traveled widely in her twenties, and eventually put down roots not far from where she began, just down the Hudson River near Schodack Landing. Much of her work is rooted in nature. For a long time, Jean has used art as a way to look more closely at the world around her. Sketching is a powerful tool for understanding and finding our place within a much wider world. Jean's artwork has opened many doors leading to friendships, teaching opportunities with people from around the world, and the chance to write and illustrate "The Nature Explorer’s Sketchbook" in 2020. Jean is one of the featured 2026 Wild Wonder Conference Teachers!
