This framed print is a reproduction of an interior painting of The Elms mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. The original artwork is believed to have been painted around 1935 by artist David Mode Payne, who specialized in painting the interiors of homes in the area. The image depicts the grand interior foyer and staircase of The Elms, a Gilded Age mansion. The original painting was commissioned by Julia Berwind, the mansion's owner at the time. The print is housed in an ornate, gold-toned frame with a maroon matting. If the print is not to your liking, repurpose the frame for another art piece or creative purpose such as a blackboard or pin-board for the office. If you are looking for a large piece of art, this is the one! Come see it in person at the Restart store.
