The Gardens at Mill Fleurs
Description
"Enjoy an exclusive tour for up to six people at The Gardens at Mill Fleurs in Point Pleasant, Pennsylvania. The Gardens at Mill Fleurs are collection gardens around a 1742 Grist Mill and a rare Sawmill that was operational in the 1790’s. Personal and unique — as is every garden — Mill Fleurs definitely qualifies as an “eccentric American garden.”
Barbara will guide you through all major parts of the garden: including details of the Yellow Conifer Garden, The Rhododendron Drive, The Cascades, The Bronze Border, the Blue River, and lawn gardens.
Your visit would include a tour of our more private gardens at the north. The rarest plants in this challenging part of the Garden have rarely been visited by the public.
We are fortunate that our stream-side site, featuring massive rock outcroppings and steep woodland slopes, is interesting all on its own. Into this challenging grade, we have shoe-horned all the shade plants we can secure. Some have even made it through the massive ice-break of 2026!
The heartbeat of this garden is diversity, diversity, and diversity. In support of the preservation of biodiversity we trial and share plants from around the globe. Tiffany Perennials, our retail nursery, offers ” Rare Species, Interesting Natives, and Fancy Weeds!”
The design objective of Mill Fleurs is bring cohesiveness to our extensive plant collection by grouping plants according to genus, color family and/or topic.
Your tour would last two and one-half hours — or as long as everyone is interested! Homemade refreshments will be served at our 18th century ice-house. You are welcome to bring a picnic.
Winner will be contacted to coordinate a weekday visit in 2026."
