Description

This one-of-a-kind custom red guitar was hand-built by Rotary District 6560 Governor Ryan Henry and is dedicated to Rotary’s signature cause: PolioPlus. Since 1985, Rotary has led the global effort to eradicate polio — and proceeds from this auction will continue fueling that fight.

To make this instrument even more historic, it has been personally signed by Rotary leaders from around the world, including:

K.R. (Ravi) Ravindran, RI President 2015-16

Ian Risley, RI President 2017-18

Mark Maloney, RI President 2019-20

Larry Lunsford, RI President 2027-28

Elizabeth Usovicz, RI Director 2021-23

Beth Stubbs, RI Director 2023-25

Brian Hall, RI Director 2025-27

The PolioPluscaster is more than a guitar — it’s a symbol of Rotary’s relentless commitment to ending polio once and for all. Own this remarkable piece of Rotary history and play a role in creating a polio-free world.

Additional Information

Rotary District 6560 is striking a new chord in fundraising with the auction of two custom-built guitars — created by District Governor Ryan Henry himself. These unique instruments are not only a labor of love, but also a bold statement of Rotary’s commitment to doing good in the world.

One guitar, painted red, will benefit PolioPlus, continuing Rotary’s decades-long fight to eradicate polio worldwide. The second guitar, painted blue, will support the Annual Fund, ensuring even more life-changing service projects take place right here in Central Indiana and around the globe.

“Ever since I built my first bass guitar in 2018, I was looking for an opportunity to build another,” said Henry. “A few months ago, I was thinking of a unique way to raise money for The Rotary Foundation. I realized that my passion for Rotary and interest in music could come together, creating a fun way to not only raise money, but also generate an opportunity to get Rotary in front of more eyes.”

Adding to their significance, during this year’s Zones 30 & 31 Institute in Columbus, Ohio, several past Rotary International Presidents and Directors signed the guitars — making them true collector’s pieces that embody the spirit of Service Above Self.
