Located in the heart of Balboa Park, the museum’s internationally renowned collection of more than 32,000 works dating from 3000 BCE to the present day will keep you busy on your day at the museum. Explore the permanent collection galleries, which include European, Asian and American paintings and sculptures, as well as a dynamic program of international temporary exhibitions and a delightful sculpture court and garden. Perhaps best known for Spanish old master paintings–including works by El Greco, Goya, Ribera, Sanchez Cotán, and Zurbarán–the Museum also holds a broad collection of American, Asian, European, and Latin American art.
