Three Seasons, Three Ecosystems Hike with Ken & Amy Elwert

Experience the beauty of nature as it changes through the seasons! Join Ken and Amy Elwert for a unique series of three guided hikes at Orion Oaks County Park, exploring the same trail in Fall, Spring, and Summer to observe how the landscape, wildlife, and ecosystems transform throughout the year. This moderate-level hike begins at the park's north entrance and takes participants through forests, open fields, and wetlands, with plenty of opportunities to appreciate Michigan's natural beauty. Each hike lasts approximately 1 to 1½ hours, depending on how long the group enjoys the scenic lakeside views. While the hills are not steep, the trail includes frequent elevation changes. Regular walking or hiking shoes are recommended (sandals are not advised). Limited benches are available along the route.
