Description

Situated in a beautiful meadow in the camping area about 1 km from the lodge, the Yurt is elegant camping indeed!  It sleeps up to six in two bunk beds and a pull-out queen futon. A vault toilet is a hundred feet away.
During the summer you can either drive or walk to the Yurt. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the Lodge. The beds are made up for each visit with all the bedding.
The yurt is 24-ft. in diameter and has a table and chairs, and 2 bunk beds and 1 futon (sleeps up to 6). Pots, pans, and dinnerware provided.
There is also: 
--Water (5 gallons) and kitchen sink with gray water only bucket. (If you need more you must fill up at the Lodge).
--Propane Cook stove and grill (must bring own small propane tank - green Coleman tanks)
Wood stove with wood supply
--Outdoor vault toilet (with TP) close to yurt
--2 Battery lanterns (guests should bring 6 D-cell batteries in the event that the batteries are low). Additional solar lights are installed, but may not always work. 
--Outdoor grill and deck chairs
Guests must bring: Headlamps, 16 oz propane tank for the cook stove and BBQ, sleeping bags, D-cell batteries (6) and cooler with ice for refrigerated items (if desired).
NOTE: no dogs will be allowed in the yurt, on the event site, or on field trips.

Additional Information

This lodging is for two nights only (Fri & Sat) at the Montana Native Plant Society Native Plant Rendezvous, June 26-28, 2026. Successful bidders will be required to register for this MNPS event during April 2026, and registration costs will apply. 

As far as other available lodging during the event, there will be tent and RV camping (porta-potties/no hookups) included in registration, and a limited number of dormitory beds in the Main Lodge (18 beds in 2 rooms) that will be available to buy on a first come, first served basis during registration in April. Estimated cost for one of these dorm beds is $25/2 nights. Motels will be available in Butte, 15 miles away.

Absolutely no dogs will be allowed in the cabins, yurt, on the event site, or on field trips. 

Auction bidders/winners are not required to be members of Montana Native Plant Society.
